1. Definitions
- "Kinford" means the family education centre operated at 134 Huay Kaew Road, Su Thep, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand.
- "Service" means any programme, workshop, toolkit, or membership offered by Kinford.
- "User" / "Participant" means any individual who accesses our website or enrols in a Service.
- "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions together with any programme-specific enrolment confirmation.
- "Content" means all materials produced by Kinford including workshop materials, templates, guides, and reading lists.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, making an enquiry, or enrolling in any Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enrol in our programmes.
You must be at least 18 years of age to register for a Service or to make payment. Participants under 18 may only attend sessions where explicitly invited as part of a family group enrolled by an adult.
3. Description of Services
Kinford provides community family education programmes in Chiang Mai, Thailand, including:
- Calm Communication Sessions: a series of group workshops on communication skills (฿3,600 per series)
- Shared Planning Toolkit: a one-time purchase of document templates and organisational materials (฿11,500)
- Family Learning Membership: a 12-month community membership including peer circles, workshops, and curated reading (฿26,500 per year)
All Services are educational in nature. Kinford does not provide counselling, legal advice, financial advice, or any form of licensed professional service. Facilitators are not licensed practitioners.
4. Enrolment and Registration
Places in group sessions are confirmed only upon payment. Kinford reserves the right to decline an enrolment at its discretion, for example if a group is already full or if the programme is not considered suitable based on the enquirer's stated needs.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact and registration information. Please notify us promptly of any changes.
5. User Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
- Treat all other participants and facilitators with respect during sessions
- Not record, photograph, or share session content without prior written consent from Kinford
- Not share or reproduce Kinford's Content outside the household for which it was purchased
- Not use session participation as a basis for making claims about other participants or Kinford staff
- Disclose no personal information about other participants outside of the session setting
Kinford reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme if these responsibilities are not met, without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All Content produced by Kinford — including workshop materials, journal templates, planning toolkit documents, and reading lists — remains the intellectual property of Kinford. Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Content for personal and household use only.
Content may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without written permission from Kinford.
7. Payment Terms
All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and include applicable taxes where relevant. Payment is due before or at the first session of a programme, or upon purchase for the Toolkit.
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer and cash. Details provided upon enrolment confirmation.
Refund Policy: If you cancel more than 7 days before the first session, you will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the first session are not eligible for a refund. The Shared Planning Toolkit is non-refundable once the onboarding session has taken place. Membership fees are non-refundable after the first peer circle session. Where Kinford cancels a session, participants receive a full refund or the option to transfer to the next available series.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
Calm Communication Sessions: Attendance at the majority of sessions in a series is recommended for the programme to be meaningful. Sessions are not recorded and missed sessions cannot be replayed.
Shared Planning Toolkit: The toolkit is provided for the personal use of the purchasing household. Digital templates may be edited freely for household use. Printed materials may not be reproduced or distributed.
Family Learning Membership: Membership runs for 12 months from the date of enrolment. Session archives are available for the duration of the membership year. Membership does not automatically renew.
9. Disclaimers
All Services are provided for general educational purposes only. Kinford makes no representation that participation in any programme will produce specific outcomes for any individual or household.
Kinford is not responsible for decisions made by participants based on content encountered during sessions. Content is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Thai law, Kinford's liability to any participant is limited to the amount paid for the specific programme giving rise to the claim. Kinford is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
This limitation does not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by Kinford staff.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Kinford against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your conduct during sessions, or any misuse of Content.
12. Termination
Kinford may terminate your participation in a programme at any time if you breach these Terms or conduct yourself in a way that disrupts the learning environment for others. In such cases, refunds are not issued.
You may withdraw from a programme at any time subject to the refund terms set out in Section 7.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion between the parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Chiang Mai Province.
Thailand's Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 (as amended) applies where relevant to consumer participants.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with any programme confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kinford.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without written consent from Kinford.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued participation in a programme after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled participants of material changes.
